Maybe this is how one does blogs?

I can’t figure out how to edit headings. These Blog headings are waaaay too big. Also - some entries have text centered, and other have text aligned left. I’m not sure how to adjust that after they’re published. In draft the alignment looks fine.

I also seem to be writing these and publishing them the next day. So today as I write, but yesterday as it’s published, I calculated the sett and ends for a band of Mora wool, and I wound the warp. I’m going for 14 - 16 epi (ends per inch. I wound a short four-yard warp and will do some sampling and look at the right amount of fulling to get it to a decent texture to serve as an embroidery “canvass.”

Speaking of canvas, I’ve had fun with canvas weave using a chunky linen thread, now I want to do another sampler in the fine linen thread. Not gossamer fine, not yet, but the next range down in width. I think this chunky linen (20/2) would be good for larger embroidery techniques, but I want to go finer. Note: I always want to go finer!

Another note - this is my third day with squarespace, and I’m really enjoying it! I tried Wordpress for years, but I could never figure out the plug-ins and extensions and what-not. Hey, I’m old. These things are not intuitive to me!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to let the hens out into the lower flower garden for a nice afternoon.
