Frosted Berries - Sari-inspired scarf
Gauzy scarf in bright sari colors, bringing cheer to winter days. This scarf will drape elegantly and mark you out as a jewel in a winter landscape.
The weave structure is called supplemental warp - the long green silk threads float over and through the plain weave fabric.
Fine cotton warp with silk and cotton weft. This is an ultra-light scarf, perfect for warm climates or heated rooms. This warp for this scarf is based off a design from Jane Stafford Textiles. If you ever want to learn to weave, her Online School of Weaving is the absolute best!
Hand wash gently in cold water, lay flat to dry. If you want to press out any wrinkles, use a hot dry iron.

So much sampling!
I did a lot of sampling for both of the sari scarves. No doubt there will be more sari-inspired scarves to weave - I love the colors and the fibers - ultra-fine cotton and soft silk. Sublime. But there are considerations of color and pattern, and this is the way I usually work out my samples. This shimmer of the Rainy Day silk - that shimmering off-white - really inspired me for this particular scarf. The silk over the vibrant colors looked like, well, frosted berries.
